User Agreement

Acceptance of This Agreement

By downloading, installing, opening, or otherwise using Fpot, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this User Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You represent that you are legally able to enter into this Agreement and that you will use Fpot in accordance with applicable law.

About the Service

Fpot is a personal genealogy and family-memory application. It helps you record family members, build and explore a family tree, preserve stories and photographs, manage family contacts, and export genealogy materials for private family use.

Fpot is designed as a private archive tool for individuals and families. Features may evolve over time as we improve the product experience.

Your Archive and Content

You retain ownership of the family information, stories, photographs, notes, and other materials you enter into Fpot (“Your Content”). You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content.

• You should only add information you have the right to record and keep.
• You should treat sensitive family history with care and respect the people described in your archive.
• You are responsible for maintaining any copies or exports you create outside the app.

Acceptable Use

When using Fpot, you agree that you will not:

• use the app for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the app;
• misrepresent identity or family relationships in a way intended to cause harm;
• use Fpot to create or distribute materials that violate the rights of others;
• use automated means to overload or abuse the application.

We may refuse support or discontinue access for serious misuse where reasonably necessary to protect users, the product, or third parties.

Export, Backup, and Sharing

Fpot may allow you to export genealogy documents, images, or archive data, and to share materials you choose to share. Exports and shared files leave the app environment once you send or save them elsewhere.

You are solely responsible for deciding what to export or share, with whom you share it, and how those materials are stored after they leave Fpot.

Disclaimer and Limitation

Fpot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we aim to offer a reliable and thoughtful experience, we do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fpot and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, family records, or goodwill arising from your use of the app. Your use of Fpot is at your own risk, and you should keep your own backups of important materials.

Changes to the Agreement

We may update this User Agreement from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of Fpot after an update means you accept the revised Agreement.

If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to present the updated terms within the app or through other appropriate notice.
